Great place for outdoor exercise.
The Rec center offers all different classes for your whole family to enjoy. I picked up a schedule for different workout classes that I loved to do. My nephew which is 7 of age takes Karta classes at rec center. Byerly park is always clean and well lite up for evening walks, plus their always seems to be people walking in the Evening time with it getting dark so early now. Must check it out for your family!
I walked the paved trail. The kids seem to have fun at the splash pad.

I took a group of 15 kids to Piratesville today for a field trip. I have an 11 year old in my class that was told she was too tall to get on any of the equipment. This information would be helpful on the MAIN page of the website and to also be told upon entry. It would also be nice of this rule applied to ALL people taller than 54 inches. There were several children/adults that repeatedly went on the slides on front of the "lifeguards" - (I use that term loosely because other than their barely noticeable red fanny pack, you wouldn't know that was their role) and were never told to stay off of the slides. The price should also be reduced to the adult rate, rather than the child rate.

A little bit of Southern hospitality or a greeting would be nice at the desk upon entering, as well .

It was being renovated while we were there and it was too cold for any of the water park stuff, but it is a nice place.
